Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä (/ɛ̄z/ /vǣzʊ/ [tense; stiff] [question]) is a subtropical Town located in the Doûvnḱínts̄r Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä is derived from the Goblin language, as Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä was founded by Fyêbmëm Shêyë Êbrtë, who was culturaly Goblin.

Climate

Overview

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä was founded durring the late 15th century in fall of the year 1358, by Fyêbmëm Shêyë Êbrtë. The establishment of Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä is is constructed arround a semi-circular restrictive cobblestone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. The town's political statment focused walls have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the town one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.

Civic Infrastructure

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä's parks.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä's grid is powered by an arcane means.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä's natural decorations nor waterways.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

In Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä the utterance of expletives is impossible within city limits. This has changed as the limits have changed, but has not kept up with slang, or swearing in foreign languages.

The Amoeba Swarm near Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Everyone around them is fighting for the chance to exploit this clever new plan.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century was struck by a great wind storm. A great funnel cloud itself touched down in Á̄s Vē̄zō Kēä, bringing twisting winds which killed 177 people, 265 livestock, and 69 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is generally remembered as the Howling Winds of Agony.
